As CSU Bakersfield continues to navigate the extremely dynamic situation of COVID-19, community members want to know how they can support students facing economic challenges during this complicated and shifting situation. Before COVID-19 turned into a pandemic, CSU Bakersfield designed two funds that provide an opportunity for us to respond in support of our students. Let me share how you can make a direct impact today:
- The Student Emergency Fund allows CSU Bakersfield to help all students involved in an unforeseen emergency, crisis, or catastrophic event with financial assistance. Those who, as a byproduct of protective measures against coronavirus, are challenged to afford housing, transportation, basic needs and access to required resources for remote learning, or who are facing other unforeseen personal difficulties can receive aid. Giving helps students complete their educational goals!
- The CSUB Fund provides the university with its most significant source of unrestricted funds and the flexibility required to respond to immediate academic needs. Academic programs, student scholarships, and other essential initiatives deemed critical for student success can receive support. Contributions help students reach their highest potential!
