Roadrunner Scholarship Fund
About The Roadrunner Scholarship Fund
CSUB Athletics is dedicated to developing Champions of Life through a commitment to academic excellence, an outstanding student-athlete experience, competitive success, and community engagement.
CSUB scholar-athletes consistently demonstrate this championship mentality in the classroom, in the community, and in competition.
- Champions in the classroom – CSUB teams achieved a 3.0 overall GPA for the 13th consecutive semester in the 2020-2021 school year. In May 2021, 70 scholar-athletes earned their degrees.
- Champions in the community - Our scholar-athletes give back to the community, devoting more than 3,000 hours to community service projects throughout Kern County last year.
- Champions in competition - Our scholar-athletes have a proud history of winning, with 7 conference championships, 352 individual WAC honors, 400 Academic All-WAC honors, 65 DI All-American honors, and 30 DII National Championships.
After graduation, 60% of CSUB students stay in Bakersfield and Kern County. They start families, contribute economically, and often use the leadership skills they learned in competition to positively impact Bakersfield and Kern County.
An investment in the Roadrunner Scholarship Fund and CSUB Athletics is an investment in the future of Bakersfield and Kern County.
